Samplings, demonstrations and products for purchase are available during fair hours by producers from all over the Upper Hudson Region.

Here is what they said about the festival: 'This is a paradise for garlic lovers. Well-known chefs give cooking demonstrations, and people can sample Cajun garlic shrimp, fried dough with garlic and garlic pickles. There's even garlic cotton candy for kids, and garlic dog biscuits.'"

It will be held on October 9-10, 2010 at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds on Route 61 in Bethlehem, Connecticut (just north of town). Visit our garlic cooking demonstrations, stay for a live band performance, and learn how to grow garlic at our informative lectures. Many garlic dips, spreads, cheeses, and oils will be available for purchase from our diverse garlic specialty food vendors - most offering FREE samples to try before you buy!

NYS Sheep and Wool Festival (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Dutchess County Fairgrounds, Rhinebeck, NY
A true showcase for one of Dutchess County's first (and still viable) industries, the Sheep and Wool Family Festival is now in its 38th year at the fairgrounds. Hundreds of sheep, llamas and alpacas will be on display and competing for ribbons, while craft and fiber artists from around the country present the best wool and sheep related items. Family activities abound with a Halloween Haunted Tunnel, a Hay Maze, horse drawn wagon rides, music, cooking demonstrations, a "Punkin Chuckin" contest and even some Border Collies showing off their shepherding skills. Visit the NYS Sheep and Wool web site to check the schedule, for great fun and a great event! No pets allowed.
